The Texas Family Center is here to support children, teens, adults, individuals, couples and families.
Children communicate through play. We serve the needs of children ages 2-12 through Play Therapy, while using a similar approach with adolescents ages 13-17. We are committed to working with clients dealing with Anxiety, School Issues,
Anger/Behavior, Divorce, Foster Care, Self-Esteem.
Life is sometimes like a roller coaster ride with ups, downs, curves, twists and turns. We are committed to working with clients during tough times to help with issues of stress, anxiety, depression, anger, relationship, grief and loss.
Families need support in improving struggling relationships. We support families with
issues including parent/child conflict, family conflict, adjustment, infidelity, depression,
illness, substance abuse and financial problems.
Our focus is supporting families in dealing with the challenges of life through individual counseling, group counseling, play therapy, and family therapy.
Individual Therapy is a form of therapy where the therapist treats the client on a one-on-one basis. Individual therapy is a joint process between a therapist and a person in therapy. Common goals of therapy can be to inspire change or improve quality of life.
Group Therapy is a form of therapy where the therapist treats a small group of clients together working on similar goals.
Play Therapy is a theory-based approach to therapy that builds the child’s ability to communicate and learn through play. Play Therapy involves using toys, puppets, blocks, drawings, crafts and games to help the child recognize, identify, and verbalize their feelings.
